SB Media is the world’s largest automotive entertainment publisher in digital, with over 100 million followers worldwide. What started out as creator brand, Supercar Blondie has grown to be a multi-channel & platform network reaching over 600 million people each month.
The position we’re looking to fill is a hybrid sales and partnerships role focused on three main sectors – automotive manufacturers, tech manufacturers and entertainment/celebrity. You would be responsible for managing existing relationships across the PR and marketing spectrum, whilst initiating and finding new partners to ensure we grow our relationships and develop our content pipeline based on access to new launches, releases and products.
We work with third party manufacturers as well as PR and marketing departments to negotiate access to the latest automotive, tech, events and movie launches to feature across our network of social channels. The Head of Partnerships needs to actively manage those relationships to help grow our pipeline of content opportunities, but also have a keen eye for when we can convert this to a sales opportunity. Key will be leveraging our huge audience of 100m followers globally to negotiate access and promote our capabilities.
This role sits very much between our production department and sales team to help identify, prioritise and negotiate opportunities that could work with either area of the business. Once shoots or access are confirmed the Partnership Manager will also help liaise with the operations manager, production and sales teams to hand over the project for execution/logistics. You would also be responsible for negotiating terms with clients to obtain favourable filming conditions, covering costs or improved commercial terms and barter deals.
The successful candidate must have excellent negotiation skills, fantastic organisation and diary management and be a brilliant communicator to liaise between external partners and internal teams.
Spoken Mandarin/Cantonese would be a huge advantage as we look to grow in this region
What you’ll do:
- Provide new content ideas (product reviews) by knowing when new products hit the market
Help enable new content opportunities (under embargo / first releases) via relationships
Actively manage relationships & partners to be at the forefront for them to think of us first when it comes to car/product/movie releases
Provide sales leads
Promote SB Media Group and our capabilities to existing and potential partners
Negotiating covering costs, barter deals and access
Be on top of all new product releases in our sector – focusing on key cars, Hollywood films and latest tech gadgets
Proactively obtain under embargo filming opportunities
Establish strong PR relationships with the world’s largest consumer companies and PR businesses.
